ICAN GO challenge: getting active to support medical research into liver cancer

Sicame Group once again took part in the ICAN GO challenge, organised by IHU ICAN, the Foundation for Innovation in Cardiometabolism and Nutrition, supported by the Sicame Endowment Fund, as part of its national week for the prevention of cardiometabolic diseases.

For three weeks, employees from the Group’s French subsidiaries and other companies competed in teams on the Kiplin mobile app, earning points through walking, running, cycling and challenges.

The challenge was a success: the 515 participants, including 241 employees from Sicame Group, clocked up nearly 85 million steps, representing 59,000 kilometres covered!

Of the seven competing companies, Sicame Group came third in the rankings, demonstrating the commitment and dedication of the teams at its French subsidiaries.

€20,000 was raised through ICAN GO and will be donated to PAIR-OBESITE, an innovative research project on liver cancers linked to metabolic diseases, led by the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in collaboration with teams from the IHU ICAN.
